Giant Iceberg Whirling Off South Georgia Island Continues to Disintegrate, Scientists Say

Researchers have been monitoring an iceberg called A68a since 2017, when it broke off from an Antarctic ice shelf and drifted north. They were worried that not only might A68a collide with the island, but that it would endanger seals, penguins, and other animals living there.
